Control a lightsaber with your Wiimote

New trailer for Star Wars Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels out Image 1

If there has ever been a good gaming recipe for destroying things in your living room, it might be found in the upcoming Star Wars Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels game upcoming for the Wii in 2008.

Made by Krome Studios, and to be released by LucasArts, the game lets you duel with the Wiimote or Wii Nunchuk. Exactly how the control over your vicious light-sword is uncertain -- judging from this initial trailer it looks like you are a capable of a wide variety of moves.  You'll also be able to use some of the Force in the game, as well.

The game features the same CG animation style that will be featured in this summer's Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie which is coming out on August 15th.

A DS version of this game is also coming. It will be called Jedi Alliance, and will allow for lightsaber control utilizing the stylus.
