Mulder & Scully, where are you when we need you?

The Register has an interesting article that shows us what data NASA is apparently using to "prove" that global warming is a problem - the only problem is that the data is apparently being manipulated, and a historic low temperature (ie an abnormally low temperature) was chosen as the "basepoint" thus showing even "normal" temperatures to be "too warm".

Oh, and the reported temperature data is being fiddled with to make it seem like temperatures are always rising.

I have no idea weather The Register is full of it, or of the "global warming" IS being exagerated.

Personally, I think that we should be switching to electric cars anyway, as I am fed up with the high prices of gasoline.
