Bioware's sci-fi hit Mass Effect will be available for PC on May 6.

New features include a redesigned decryption mini-game, an improved inventory system, and hot key functionality.  The game's interface has also been modified to better suit the PC, giving it an MMO feel.  At first, it's hard to imagine a game originally designed for the Xbox 360 to make a smooth transition, but GameSpy has high hopes for this port, as expressed in a preview of Mass Effect PC.

It's still not certain whether or not the PC release will include the Xbox Live content due March 10.
