In the kicking the dead horse department...

Paramount and Dreamworks have bit the bullet, and according to Engadget, we will see Blu-Ray and DVD releases of Paramount et al movies at the same time.

Personally, I hated the format war - and technically I liked Blu-Ray due to its higher capacity.

Wow.....Sony must have forked over a ton of money to the Studio's to get this done. I guess they didn't want to loose another format war(Beta Max). It would have been really tough for Sony to swallow if it went the other way. Pretty much it came down to one studio too...

I'm glad the format war is over. Having said that, from many articles I've read Blu-ray was released lacking important features and so I should wait 1 or 2 revisions before buying a player.
