Shadow of Death Dec 2, 07
Huh, didn't see this coming >_>

One wonders if this might affect WoW and Starcraft in the future? Don't play those myself, but a lot of people do >_>

They claim both games and all unannounced projects will continue in development with no delays at this point.

As long as Blizzard keeps going as it has been since it was founded, then this shouldn't be much of a bad thing.

I'm just afraid this will somehow influence future Blizzard titles in a bad way.

Vivendi seems to have always had a stake in Blizzard though so I think in that sense things might be ok for the time being. Inevitably there are going to be some items that do change though.

Actiblizzision? or Actilizzard?

Hmmph.

Hopefully the art of gaming isn't compromised here...oh wait it's all about money anyway with these two companies.

I would wonder how this affects Blizzard's stoic resolve to only produce excellent titles. Pretty much every game Blizzard released (not including Warcraft I) was an iunternational best seller.

Blizzard also spent millions of dollars and several years developing World of Warcraft as an adventure game, and ditched it when they decided it would not be an amazing title. We're talking about 2-3yrs of work completely dropped. Would Activision have done the same? Based on their track record, I doubt it.

Redemption's right about Activision. I at least know one game that has more cons than pros *cough* True Crime New York *cough*.

True Crime, the game that was ported to everything short of an Atari 2600?

I think they've worked hard to erase all copies of the game that they can find. XD
