Shop 'til you drop; eat brains 'til you barf. Now on your PC.
Capcom's zombie-killing game Dead Rising came out for Xbox 360 last August, and now, it looks like it may be coming to the PC.
The port is unconfirmed at this point. Italian-speaking website TGMOnline has reported that an guy by the name of Halifax, who is a distributor for Capcom, let this information slip. No date is given for the game's PC release.
Dead Rising received fairly favorable reviews.
Basically, the game puts the player in a mall being overrun by zombies. The action game has you use all sorts of various weapons from different stores in the mall to kill the brain-hungry, incoming zombie hordes. Such as baseball bats and lawn-mowers and sporting goods, like shotguns.
The plot of the game is very remiscent of the classic and excellent cult-classic zombie movie Dawn of the Dead, made by George A. Romero (King of the Zombie-flick), in 1978.
But the game has nothing to do at all with that original movie, because, on the game's website, their is a big disclaimer that reads: "This game was not developed, approved or licensed by the owners or creators of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead."
Anyways the reason why I didn't like it was I thought the gameplay was horrible. They could have done a lot more with it. I guess until then I will stick to the shooter games. I have to say i'm a huge zombie fan, but this game has just dissapointed me. I guess there's always resident evil though.
