1UP's editor receives troubling news about the highly-anticipated MMO.
Earlier today, 1UP claimed that the Marvel, Microsoft, and Cryptic collaboration MMO Marvel Universe Online may not ever see the light of day. Though the MMO has not been officially (publicly) cancelled, the development process has hit some serious snags, causing some major stalls and other issues. 1UP's concerns stem mostly from the fact that Cryptic has avoided any mention of the game, as well as various changes occuring within the company. When questioned on the subject, Microsoft was just as helpful.
All of this leaves a whole lot of speculation and not much else. Nothing new about the game has come up since an interview with IGN in 2006, when it was announced for PC and Xbox 360. Should we be worried? 1UP seems to think so.
