Two of the biggest names in the domestic game development scene have officially confirmed their intentions to jointly produce an "interactive entertainment product". There's no doubt they're talking about a video game here, but whether it's based on an existing franchise (like LucasArts' own Star Wars license) or a completely new one remains to be seen. Bioware's announcement to work with LucasArts could also alleviate fears that its hands are now tied by Electronic Arts thanks to its recent acquisition at the hands of the mega-publisher.
