Unique Development Studios has acquired the rights to develop multi-platform games based on Fox's popular tongue-in-cheek "Futurama".

PRESS RELEASE

Scandinavia's leading developer of computer and video games, UDS (Unique Development Studios), has acquired the rights to develop computer, video and console games based on the popular animated TV series "Futurama" by Matt Groening, the creator of "The Simpsons". Fox's "Futurama" is one of the world's most popular animated TV series with millions of fans in all major TV markets.

UDS has acquired the rights to co-publish with Fox Interactive a "Futurama" game on all platforms (PC, Console and Handheld) for a period of three years. Fox Interactive will publish the game in the North American markets and UDS will co-publish the game throughout the rest of the world. The development process starts immediately at UDS with commercial launches being expected in the first half of 2002.

UDS is one of the first European game developers to acquire co-publishing rights to such a well-known global TV show. The licensing agreement also signals a new strategy for UDS aimed at acquiring and owning rights, developing games and establishing its own publishing organization for its portfolio of games for selected markets.

"We are very pleased to be able to acquire the rights to such a strong brand as "Futurama" by Fox, and we believe that the resulting games will be very successful all over the world. Our new strategy to own the rights to various computer games aimed at a global mass market gives us a potential to dramatically increase revenue streams in the future", said Thomas Lofblad, Managing Director of UDS.

""Futurama" is a great show which lends itself very well to making fun, interesting game environments. We are pleased to be collaborating with UDS on the development of the "Futurama" game, and by working closely with the series creator, we hope to expand the appeal of the show to gamers around the world," said Steve Bersch, President of Fox Interactive.
