So that's why the Internet is slow today; everybody is searching for his crack and downloading untold terabytes worth of porn.

The lonely DSL/Cable equipped men of the world salute you son.

Ya, that's bureaucracy for you. It seems reasonable they could have licensed a porn-firewall of off Norton or Agnitum for a fraction of what they spent. I haven't checked, but I would even not be surprised if there was a free, open source filter out there that would be more effective.
Impeding access to porn is a good idea and all, but really, that's next to impossible. Not many parents are as computer-savvy as a male teenager.

Jeez, a huge waste of money...

Honestly, what sort of crappy security must it have, that a person (who appears to not be a coder or anything of that sort, as he said he did it with a few mouse clicks) can crack through it, within 30 minutes?

hahaha....this is just why gaming is a good thing, how else could a kid crack a filter that fast? unless they got some truly *bleep*ed company to make it....

$70mil for a porn filter? Which is then put to shame by a horny teenager with a little bit of free time? And they say our government is stupid?

They should have spent that $70 million by donating it to Neoseeker... or me.

What I wanna know is . . .

How in the hell can you spend $70 million bucks developing what is essentially a 'Packet Sniffing','URL Blacklisting', 'NetNanny' piece of software?

Oh, and they did this to try and woo Christian voters.

What must his parents think?
Personally, I'd be proud.

Dad's really happy. Mom, not so much, but is hopeful that it might provide a scholarship for the University of South Wales. All of his friends must be ecstatic, asking if they can get a copy of the crack.
