I've seen a fair sum of hardware out there that is apparently compatible with that long awaited Microsoft OS, Windows Vista. And since half the planet will be switching to Vista, having truly certified hardware is quite important.
After rigorous WHQL testing in the Microsoft Taiwan lab, the Gigabyte GA-945P-DS3 motherboard was given the proverbial gold star where it applied to Windows Vista Premium compatibility. Sporting the Intel 965 chipset and Intel Quad Core ready (Quad Cores coming soon), this particular board should prove to be an industry leader where it applies to next-gen computing. This means that the breath taking Aero 3D interface in Vista will render crystal clear. Media playback will be flawless, and audio drivers will almost install themselves. Gaming should be pretty decent too.
Personally, I'd like to get my hands on one of these Gigabyte GA-945P-DS3 motherboards and run it through tis paces. If it's truly Vista ready, then it should be more than XP capable.
