Lighter, Brighter Hardware Follows Latest Version of Top Franchise
Nintendo breaks out some good news to those waiting on what to do for their Nintendo DS investment, the company releases that come June 11 the Nintendo DS Lite will join their handheld family in North America at $129.99 US. For those wondering the DS Lite is a lighter weight and brighter visual version of the current Nintendo DS on the market. To kick things off the DS will be featured in Polar white with a raised DS logo on the cover.

The company supports that the improved styling will only help to highlight the abilities of the DS games including the new Super Mario Bros. coming to the DS. It seems that for many though, the wait is almost over as a date is finally confirmed and those import worries can now be laid to rest.

It will be far cheaper than importing it directly from Japan at this point, that's for sure, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if North America faced its own DS Lite shortage.
