7 inches of bendable display
Samsung has created what is so far the largest flexible LCD screen yet seen. While other bendable screen designs are based on OLED technology, this TFT LCD screen provides VGA (640 x 480) but is made from plastic substrates rather than the glass typically found in consumer LCD products.
There is no word on when similar screens will become available at acceptable price/availability levels on the consumer market, but it's interesting to see the future regardless. The first practical application for these that comes to mind would be in industrial tablet/notebook designs.
Seeing as Samsung was trumpeting their new 5 inch prototype in only January, 2 inches and more resolution in only 10 months is rather impressive.
