The new Battlefront tactical game is available through the Internet.

Battlefront, the game developers, has announced that their new squad-level tactical combat simulation, Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord, is shipping.

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord lets players experience realistic WWII tactical warfare. The game is set in Normandy, France and Nazi Germany during the period of WWII and features historic scenarios and campaigns. Players can be the Allied's US Airborne or the Axis' German Volkssturm.

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord is a turn-based 3D strategy. Players are put in command of a force in missions that may last several days through several engagements with enemies.

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord is available only through Battlefront.com

A further internet-play TCP/IP patch is currently in the works and will be made available for free download later this summer.
