Score your very own Terry Bogard hat
SNK NEOGEO USA reveals that they are planning a large-scale marketing campaign for their upcoming PlayStation 2 3D fighter, KOF: Maximum Impact. Aside from the requisite gaming magazine advertisements, SNK intends to promote the title on national television and they'll even launch a contest this November in conjunction with none other than the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where one lucky winner will have the chance to challenge a WWE personality to a game of KOF: Maximum Impact.
That probably may not interest all gamers, but the pack-ins SNK has announced for the game itself just might:
"Consumers who purchase KOF: MAXIMUM IMPACT will receive a limited edition Terry Bogard "Fatal Fury" hat, (supplies will be limited) as well as a bonus DVD featuring behind the scenes footage, developer interviews, character profiles and much more. An extra guide to each KOF: MAXIMUM IMPACT character – revealing their stories and listing their game combo moves will also be a part of this premium package.'For the past ten years consumers worldwide have helped make THE KING OF FIGHTERS franchise one of the most popular fighting games of all time,' said Ben Herman, SNK NEOGEO USA CONSUMER CORPORATION President. 'We consider the launch of KOF: MAXIMUM IMPACT as a 'fan appreciation' day – we're giving our fans lots of bonus materials to thank them for supporting KOF this past decade.'
