Poor Mannoroth.. one of my favourite demons from warcraft III. I wonder if they are going to explore something like this and potentially give us WC4 sometime in the future, unlinked to what happened in WoW.

Garrosh has gone back and changed history, so the heroes of the World of Warcraft must counter his efforts.
They made this setting way too complicated. They aren't going back to counter his efforts at changing the timeline, what he has done has created a separate time line basically a parallel dimension. Then the dragon who helped Garrosh go there linked Draenor B to the current time in game via the dark portal.

The Iron Horde then starts invading the current Azeroth. So it's not so much to counter his efforts as it is basic defense.

BlackScythe Yus. That's a much better description of the situation. I tried to keep it simple enough so more folk's brains wouldn't explode straight away. They've definitely gone full comic books here. Totally insane story-lines.

Will we get to go back and kill Garrosh before he ruins everything?

I think, at least to an extent patty_brown, the damage is done. Garrosh prevented Mannoroth from enslaving the orcs, but in turn the tribes have united into the Iron Horde and are preparing to invade despite the lack of the "blood frenzy." Garrosh then is connecting this alternate past to the present, a meeting of two different timelines. The war will be fought between them, but I'm not familiar enough to know whether more time travel will take place as part of that war.

Gul'dan is a puppet of the legion all ready but the majority of the orcs are still free. Plus spoilers abound about Garrosh's fate.

I wonder if the fine people at Blizzard are fans of the recent show FRINGE? This seems like a Fringe expansion.

Came here to point out Fringe. Also throw out a "Thrallternate" pun. I guess the Infinite Dragonflight is like the Observers.
