Techland's upcoming open world zombie survival game Dying Light will definitely have a presence at gamescom next week. In advance of the event in Cologne, they've released a new trailer that highlights some of the major gameplay features we can look forward to. This covers everything from the 4-player co-op to the whole night versus day dynamic.
We did get to see (and play) Dying Light at this year's E3, and it definitely seems more survival oriented than, say, Dead Island. That said, the game seems to share a few traits with Techland's last major zombie title, like the player count and the weapon crafting system.
Current-gen technology means the world will be much more seamless, however, which is always a plus. Enemies also appear to be much tougher this time around, with tougher and more aggressive zombies. At night, the shambling hordes actually grow stronger, too, really driving home the whole survival theme.
Expect to see Dying Light on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 next year in the winter. Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive expects the game to arrive some time in February 2015.
