Bethesda today announced plans to release a beautiful Nightingale statue, based on the faction in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In the actual game, the Nightingale trinity operates in secrecy, serving the Dhaedric Prince Nocturnal across many generations, but that doesn't make them any less of a fan favorite. Honestly, can you get a nicer looking armor (or weapon) set without modding?
So anyway, the statue itself features a male Nightingale wielding the order's iconic bow and standing over a small cliff, while an abandoned mace laying in the waters below suggest he had already struck his mark. Elevated by the rock, this fellow reaches a respectable 16" in height and was designed by artist Sanjeev Singh. Here is the product description found on the Bethesda store:
"Our trinity serves the Lady Nocturnal, the Empress of Murk and the Daughter of Twilight. We believe her to be our patron, if not the patron of all thieves worldwide. We serve her without prayer, without charity and without celebration." - Gallus Desidenius
The Nightingales are a sect of elite thieves, so secretive that many do not believe they really exist. They are sworn to serve and watch over the shrines to the Daedric Prince Nocturnal.
The Nightingale statue features one of the elusive thieves clad in a full set of Nightingale armor and aiming the matching bow from the edge of a rocky peak. No expense has been spared in sculpting all the individual unique parts of his suit. The Nightgale measures 16 inches tall on his base at a 1/6 scale.
The statue includes deluxe, full-color packaging, a hand numbered base, and a certificate of authenticity.
It's just so impressive to look at, but all that detail isn't cheap. The statue is expected to retail for $300, and will be limited to 1,000 units worldwide. A hefty $100 is required for a deposit, should you be interested in pre-ordering right now, and the expected release window is set for Q1 2015.
