Creative folks in the world, now is our chance. Sumo Digital has put out a lovely new detail regarding the upcoming LittleBigPlanet 3's level editor. Creators are no longer subject to the limit of the previously-used thermometer -- in fact, the only restriction in place now is the amount of available memory in the hard drive.
Players now have a virtually limitless sandbox available to build their dreams in. Do you feel like recreating Super Mario 64 in its entirety? As long as the hard drive has space, that is now an option to everyone. Levels can now be stitched together infinitely, though whether this means the return of the Level Link found in LittleBigPlanet 2 and Vita is currently unclear.
Sackboy and friends Swoop, Toggle, and Oddsock will soon be able to have their own playgrounds without limits, something creators have been looking forward to since the first series installment on the PlayStation 3. Fortunately, it appears that this feature will be available on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 with the two systems having complete cross-play compatibility between both versions of LittleBigPlanet 3.
I, for one, will make a level with an army of infinite Swoops that I've been dreaming of since the game was first announced. Perhaps I can build a Mega-Swoop. Either way, the possibilities are now truly limitless. Look forward to building and playing with LittleBigPlanet 3 on the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 starting on November 18th, 2014.
