EA taps into the mantra of sacrifice once again by announcing the shutdown of Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar on iOS devices later this month. Come August 29th, Ultima Forever will be going away... forever.
The shuttering of Ultima Forever follows the closure of its developer, EA Mythic, back in late May. First revealed back in June 2012 and set in the world of Ultima IV, Forever was a free-to-play action RPG that launched in August 2013 for iOS and promised "hundreds of hours of quests and dungeons." as well as co-op with players worldwide. Oh, and of course in-app purchases in your quest to master the Eight Virtues of the Avatar and become a shining beacon for all of Britannia's inhabitants.
From now until its final hours, players in Ultima Forever can enjoy increased rewards and non-degradable equipment. Seekers and Avatars, make use of your remaining time wisely.
