Atlus has a lot of Persona in the works, between Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 5. Oh, and don't forget Dancing All Night, that's a thing too. After Ultimax hits this August, another will be following in its footsteps just a few months later. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, Atlus' dungeon crawling 3DS crossover, has been announced for release on November 25.
Accompanying the release date announcement for Persona Q is the game's opening cinematic, localized for western audiences. Well, I think it was "localized." I'm not particularly sure what would be changed since there's no written text to be translated. Maybe the song that's playing in the background is different from the Japanese version? Either way, the cinematic does a great job of showing off Persona Q's chibi-esque art style and the concept of each Persona's cast meeting up and joining forces.
Persona Q was released in Japan in early June and topped the sales charts for a time after its launch. I'm not entirely sure what the reception for the game was, as gaming criticism is a tad less prolific overseas, but odds are it was well-loved. It's basically a love letter to fans of the franchise, isn't it?
Pick up Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth starting November 25 and treat yourself to an early Thanksgiving treat. It should be ready just in time for Black Friday, too. Maybe we'll get a fancy 3DS bundle to go along with it as well? One can only hope.
