After July's huge WildStar Ultradrop blew everyone's mind, adding two huge new zones and continuing the story of Drusera and Nexus, everyone's been excited for Ultradrop #2. Today's DevSpeak video from Carbine Studio introduces just that drop, introducing the upcoming Sabotage PvP Battleground. "Wait, what? Ultradrop #2 is just a PvP Battleground? No single-player stuff?" Yup.
The Sabotage Battleground, which will be listed under Daggerfall Pass in the Battleground queue list, is actually best described as WarPlots on casual mode. With 15 players per side, each will battle across the field of war between two forts in an effort to destroy the opposing side's Power Generator. To do this they'll either have to take three capture points spread out in the middle of the map, or carry the rather unique bombs which spawn in front of their base to the opposite side of the map -- before the bomb explodes in their face!
All of the content coming in the August Ultradrop will be focused on this new PvP Battleground. That includes a dozen different achievements for the map, fancy new loot for succeeding on the map, and even assorted Decor items that players can pick up. For PvE folk, well, keep grinding that Blighthaven reputation! Don't fret too much, because Carbine's said that Ultradrop #3 will be back and focused on PvE.
WildStar's Sabotage Ultradrop doesn't yet have a release date, but players should expect it in early August -- about a month after June's drop. It is, of course, completely free so long as everyone's still subscribed.
