Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is breaking into the new generation with a bang, thanks to the efforts of Sledgehammer Games. In the newest trailer, we are taken behind the scenes with the development team, as they talk about the visuals of Advanced Warfare.
The new Call of Duty looks amazing, of course, and this is especially apparent in the characters and their life-like appearance. The movements, too, are designed to feel real and immersive, even when you're running around in a futuristic exosuit.
The art direction is incredibly important here. While Advanced Warfare does take place in a more futuristic setting, everything is designed to appear quite relatable. To accomplish this, the team starts with existing tech, elements we are all familiar with, and makes just enough changes to inspire a more sci-fi look -- without going totally off the believability scale.
