and who is Xerox uh Xeros ? Rotfl.
I wonder if Solas has ties to Flemeth or one of her daughters ?
I guess Solas is ok.I intend to use him as a mage. Not interested in him for any romances.I hope he has interested magic, maybe something a bit different and he has entertaining dialogue.

An elven apostate who isn't dalish? An elf party member who isn't built to look exceptionally pretty? This could be interesting. Knowledge seeker archetype is a bit cliche'd but I think at this point I'd like to see how an rpg standard reacts to the world Bioware has made.

He's the first character reveal I've seen where he looks strange deliberately rather than being the result of poor modeling (Sera), textures (Vivienne, Dorian), or both (Cassandra). His quote's also a lot better than pretty much all the others, too. Just drop "literally" and it'd be pretty good.

All in all I'm pleasantly surprised.

I thought there was a lot of Vivienne info out already? She's an Orlesian, pro-Circle mage who was set to become First Enchanter of her region and is heavily involved in Orlesian politics, has a social darwinist personality. Result was people complaining that she's replacement Morrigan.

Bioware's said nothing on the romance end aside from a joke valentine card implying it's not gonna happen because she wouldn't lower her standards to be with a commoner.

I guess I am not the only one to question the artwork and make an issue of it.Gaider didn't like it when I did so on the BSN.lol.
The presumption is that Viv is hetero, and that Cassandra is bi but we'll see. I wouldn't qualify her as hot.She reminds me somewhat of a pic from Project Eternity, a goddess you can apparently meet in that game, although Viv isn't a goddess in DAI just a mage.
She looks African which after Isabela's somewhat caucasian features seems to be upsetting the applecart with some players.
I don't mind her African looks. After Sera not being hetero I don't even know if I will do any romances on my first game, so it's not an issue as far as Viv is concerned for me.

I presume we'll see more about the romances from Solas, Viv and Cassandra at some point, probably soon.

So far it's confirmed two and two. Cassandra and Cullen are hetero exclusive and Sera and Dorian are exclusively g*y.

It really bugs me. There is such a huge disconnect between concept art and character art for everyone but Solas, as far as I've seen. Sera and Cassandra still have feminine features and proportions, Varric still looks like Varric, and everyone doesn't have a layer of vegetable oil coating them in every other shot unlike their renders.

Wakaman He seriously looks like Nosferatu.

Xeros the Slayer The issue with BioWare models I think might be the devs having to make them look attractive to players? The characters always seem to be stuck in this weird place for me, where I feel like they're supposed to be hot... but still appropriate for the grimdark fantasy RPG setting. The result is just some funky looking ladies and gents.

That's why I actually kind of like Solas' design. Seems like they just wanted to make this guy look a certain way, and managed to do that. The shaved head, the elongated features, spider-esque limbs -- guy looks totally off.

All the other characters so far seem to be screaming, "DON'T YOU WANT TO ROMANCE ME!?"

Quote because it's relevant to the latest thing out of BSN.

Gaider, the master of public relations that he is, in response to people pointing out the discrepancies between the final concept models, some early build models, and the current in-game models stated that they aren't off-model, they're intentionally "realistically imperfect."

Vivienne, a high class woman with a penchant for fashion doesn't look like she bathes in crisco because of a mistake of lighting or textures, but because that's realism. Sera doesn't wear leather that appears to be painted on a naked model because they can't be assed with making actual clothing layers, but because it's a realistic world. Dorian actually did invent sharpies to make that mustache though, it appears he also invented hair gel.
