Rock enthusiasts out there, now is your chance. Strange Panther Games has recently announced plans for the development of Rock Simulator 2014, which is exactly what the title suggests. Following its simulation brother, Goat Simulator, Rock Simulator allows buyers to understand what it means to be a rock by rolling a mile in a pebble's shoes.
At the moment, Rock Simulator can be found as one of the top fifteen entries on Steam Greenlight. This game was designed to appeal to "genuine rock enthusiasts", providing the opportunity to watch rocks in a wide range of environments, including grassy plains and mountains. While it is lacking in the complex physics provided by Goat Simulator, this title offers the challenge of fighting the wind as you roll down hills as a variety of rocks. For the first time in HD, players can become truly immersed in the life of a rock.
Though not your conventional title, Rock Simulator 2014 knows its target audience and is created solely for those fans. We do not yet know the full extent of what the title may offer, but we know what we can expect based on the fact that rocks are inanimate. While it probably will not be the comedically buggy game that Goat Simulator was, Rock Simulator will be exactly what it seems like - ridiculous.
For the curious few who would like to see Rock Simulator come to fruition, Strange Panther Games does have a donation campaign for the title on Indiegogo. For everyone else, no worries, because Rock Simulator 2014 is planned to be a free-to-play title. Expect further details on the PC game later this year.
