Following the reveal of Namco Bandai's new project, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, at E3 2014, people began to speculate about who the mysterious red-headed character finding his way into everything was. Though no name was released for the character, the company recently dropped new screenshots showcasing him in various scenes throughout the series.
The images show us that the redhead is capable of appearing anywhere throughout the series, as he is seen intervening in the battle between Guldo and Krillin on Planet Namek to assist Krillin in his getaway, then helping Goku on Earth by fighting Nappa. He is also able to perform special attacks belonging to other characters, including Goku's Kamehameha and Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon.
Oddly enough, the new guy's clothes resemble Trunks', a time-traveling young man that he is seen conversing with, and his clothes bear a Capsule Corp logo, signifying a relationship between the two. According to Namco Bandai, this fighter is allowed to pop in to any moment in history regardless of the situation and change it, rewriting it to his will.
Is this in fact a newly-designed character, or could it be an example of Xenoverse's character creation system? Hopefully we will be receiving more news on the subject soon, but in the meantime, Dragon Ball fans can look forward to jumping through time in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
