One of the most anticipated games due for release in the near future has to be Star Wars: Battlefront. Today, DICE dropped a trailer of sorts for the upcoming Star Wars action shooter, one that has very big shoes to fill. Even with all this pressure riding on their shoulders, the studio is taking on the challenge. They're taking it so seriously, in fact, that the developers have actually physically visited the inhospitable locales featured in the original trilogy.
That's what the new trailer is really about: DICE's commitment to Battlefront. Apparently, quite a few of the staff actually love Star Wars, and that enthusiasm goes a long way toward inspiring the developers. Some early in-engine footage is showcased as well, and they are absolutely stunning, proving once again that the Frostbite 3 can only do amazing things in the right hands.
Now Star Wars: Battlefront won't be making its long-awaited return until sometime next year, so DICE isn't saying a whole lot about the game until then. The studio did promise more would be revealed in 2015, once we're closer to launch. Expect Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions.
