After a very brief teaser dropped last week, along with some basic information regarding the game, we were finally treated to the full FIFA 15 reveal at the E3 conference held by EA today. The focus was primarily on the gameplay and match engine itself rather than any information regarding new content or game modes.
Promising that this year you will really “feel the game” we were teased with several marketing buzzwords. For example “player memories” and “emotional intelligence”, which will be reflected in the manner to which players react emotionally depending on the context of a match. We also got the typical slew of claims regarding a more realistic than ever match engine with player “athleticism” being the most touted improvement this year.
The announcement also came with a new gameplay trailer. We did get a tiny snippet of the same trailer last week that depicted Luis Suarez striking a free kick, the latest gameplay trailer is much expanded on that however. With a voiceover from the tremendously gruff Idris Elba we were treated to some lovely visuals that really show off the in game performance of FIFA 15, with the usual selection of slide tackles, dribbles, backheels and volleys that showcased what looks like an impressively slick iteration of the latest title in the series
FIFA 15 is scheduled for a September 23 release date for North America and September 25 in Europe, its set to launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 later this year.
