Harmonix's Kinect-exclusive music game Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved now has a release date. The beautiful and unique experience will be on store shelves starting October 21, exclusive to both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. In Fantasia: Music Evolved, players will explore wonderfully realized environments, discover musical and visual treats and also perform full songs purely with gestures and body movements. It is truly a game unlike any other.
Thus, it's great news to hear that once again Harmonix will be at E3 showing off Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved. This year they'll be allowing attendees to try the previously unrevealed "The Neighborhood" level. The rooftop cityscape is covered in what looks to be billboards, graffiti and who knows what magical mysteries lie in wait. Also, music. Though whatever song is shown in the trailer is not something I'd know off the top of my head.
There's just something about Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved that draws my attention of a majority of other games certain to be at E3. It's not just the gameplay and visual style -- it's something more intangible. Playing and seeing more of the game makes me feel happy, comfortable, in ways that I'm not sure other games could achieve even if they try. It's a rather surreal experience.
Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved will launch on October 21 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Expect more information on "The Neighborhood" including hands-on impressions coming out of E3 next week.
