As part of its build up to the E3 expo (June 10-12) Capcom has gone ahead and released a new trailer for the upcoming title Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The game is set to launch exclusively on 3DS in early 2015 for North America, Europe and Australia. Japan however will receive it first in the fall of 2014.
MH4U is the eagerly anticipated updated version of 3DS title Monster Hunter 4 which released exclusively in Japan back in September 2013. The series, which dates back to the original Monster Hunter on Playstation 2, has a steep learning curve and tasks the player with capturing or killing a wide range of monsters.
The CG E3 trailer boasts some formidable looking foes and a staff weapon that looks all kinds of fun, along with a wide range of environments from snow-capped mountainsides to deserts and dense forest. Something tells me that a Circle Pad Pro might be a wise investment for anyone planning to pick up MH4U when it releases next year.
Look forward to more Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate information next week during E3, perhaps as part of Nintendo's E3 press conference. After that is the long six or more month wait for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate's full release in early 2015.
