Look upon this tropical paradise, Vita gamers, and despair! Soon shall come our time of dire need. Today, NIS America announced Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair's release date. Starting September 2, Vita gamers will once again know the true face of despair and what that means for the poor souls Monokuma has trapped in his sick little game. At least they can enjoy the weather in those potential last days of theirs.
In addition to a release date, localization team NIS America also released an all new trailer, as well as character sheets for each of Danganronpa's stars. It seems like Monokuma has found himself a bride in Monomi, which has terrifying implications. The protagonist, which we don't have a card for, is apparently the "Ultimate ???" much like Kirigiri from the first game. Ah, the mysteries begin already. At least we know he isn't the Ultimate Lucky Student like in the first game, ya?
Pick up Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, the sequel the cult hit murder mystery and adventure game, starting September 2 in North America and September 5 in Europe. Discover the secrets that each of the other team members holds, then uncover their terrible plots and plans -- but only after the worst has already happened. It's a mixture of morbid Japanese humor and assorted tropes and stereotypes that's surprisingly not as terrible as what I just said sounds. I promise. Danganronpa is the best.
Warning! The screenshots in the gallery and the trailer may feature spoilers for the first Danganronpa!
