Evolve will be out October 21, 2K revealed today, sticking it right in the middle of the holiday rush. Whatever happened to everything coming out in November? Anyway, we've also got a few new screenshots, featuring the stars of Turtle Rock's upcoming co-op/multiplayer shooter.
Of course, for anyone who isn't aware, Turtle Rock Studios is responsible for the first Left 4 Dead, before Valve took over development. That alone might be enough to get multiplayer fans excited for Evolve, because clearly, these people know what they're doing. Anyway, the whole draw of Evolve is the odd mix of multiplayer and co-op. Yes, the four-player co-op setup is there, but a fifth player is granted control of a monster, creating a 4v1 setup.
Well, whenever you've decided on buying Evolve, pre-orders should be open as of today. Some retailers (read: GameStop) will be offering the Monster Expansion Pack, "which includes the Savage Goliath skin at launch, and a new monster character when available after Evolve is released." Your choices are between PC, Xbox One and PS4.
