Wolfenstein: The New Order is going to be a riot, that's for sure, when it finally comes out next week. The launch trailer, "House of the Rising Sun," is a pretty good indication of to expect from the brutal yet morbidly funny shooter. Hey, Bethesda and MachineGames have never tried to portray The New Order as anything but a Wolfenstein title.
In 1960, B.J. Blazkowicz awoke from a coma and found himself in a very different Europe, where Nazis won the war and now run everything with a cruel, iron fist. Needless to say, he's not just going to accept this without a fight, so Blazkowicz finds himself teaming up with the resistance for better odds. Like the American protagonist of Wolfenstein, the resistance is comprised of many colorful characters from various backgrounds. Hey, everything about this game is over-the-top, and that should include the cast.
Set to a German take on "House of the Rising Sun," the new trailer introduces us to some of these freedom fighters with whom B.J. has teamed up with. It also hints at the grotesque origins of the regime's armored soldiers.
Wolfenstein: The New Order will be out on May 20 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. Prepare yourselves -- WE'RE GOING TO THE MOON!
