Tecmo Koei announces it will be releasing Atelier Rorona Plus on the PS3 and Vita in North America this June 24th. Not that a localization of Atelier Rorona Plus is any surprise at this point thanks to the Australian Classification Board granting the title an R18+ rating earlier this week for "References to sexual violence." Leaving the ladies of alchemy alone with one another typically leads to that, apparently.
Atelier Rorona Plus is a remake of the 2010 PS3 game which basically brings the original release up to the production standards set by later titles in the Arland trilogy (Atelier Totori and Atelier Meruru). It was the last of the three "Arland saga" titles to be given a makeover, as it stood to benefit from the most improvement. We're talking all-new character models and environments, new story and game content, and improved item synthesis and battle systems. You can even import content from Rorona Plus into the already-available Totori Plus and Meruru Plus for all your sexually violent needs.
Heck, Atelier Rorona Plus will even have a GameStop exclusive: preorder the PS3 version from the retailer for costume DLC featuring the "Orange Swimsuit" and "Lady’s Etiquette Costume." While Atelier Rorona Plus will be availabe in both physical and digital download format for the PS3, the Vita release will only be available digitally.
