Well, pirates wear tights sometimes...

Actually I loved the Pirate setting of RIsen 2. It's disappointing that they're returning to a more generic medieval fantasy setting. The RPG genre could definitely stand for some more variety... All the games start to look the same after awhile. Unfortunately it seems that the rare RPGs that triy to do something different with the setting aren't as well-received as those in a Tokien-esque ones. "Better the devil you know", I guess.

I really, really, really wish someone would make a Dragon's Dogma type of game set in feudal Japan.

Like an open-world Onimusha. That would be incredible.

I'd take a hack-n-slash game in that setting, too...

I really just want another Onimusha game.

And Nintendo should make a Zelda game like that. It's staring them right in the face.

Make the Master Sword a katana, give Link green samurai armor, base the bosses on oni demons...

Come on, Nintendo. I'd buy a Wii U for that (and Bayonetta 2).
