It appears Capcom's in-development Ace Attorney project has been revealed, though not entirely announced just yet. What we do have is confirmation of the game's setting and a look at its protagonist as well as an untranslated title. For the next Ace Attorney game players will go back to Japan's Meiji period, taking place somewhere between 1868 and 1912. Our hero? Well, he certainly looks familiar... introducing Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken.
Shown in the latest issue of Famitsu, the next Ace Attorney protagonist could certainly be assumed to be an ancestor of Phoenix Wright. The two do look remarkably similar. Naruhodou Ryuunosuke, who we can probably assume is this handsome gentleman since his name is in the title, looks to be some sort of swordsman given the weapon at his side. Perhaps it's just for appearances sake.
Loosely translated, Grand Turnabout Trial: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke's Adventure will hopefully be the start of an all new epic story for the Ace Attorney franchise. The image from Famitsu, care of Twitter user Light Agent, certainly raises more questions than it answers. Ah, a mystery! Sounds like a case. Capcom will hopefully be revealing more information soon.
