What wonderful news it was when Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair was confirmed for North American localization. Now that oh so glorious of murder mysteries is all the more a reality as NIS America has confirmed a September 2 release date for the PS Vita game. While Europe's release date is unconfirmed, it should be noted that the first Danganronpa was released in both North American and Europe within three days of each other.
As in the first game, several high school students are thrust into a terrible game of life or death. This time, however, players will be trapped on a tropical island as opposed to a musty old office building. I doubt that will prove too positive of a detail to the kids facing the reality that they might be murdered at any time. Who knows what sort of troubles the group will face, though it looks like at least one familiar face will be remiss if there's a lack of food.
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, known as Super Dangan Ronpa 2 in Japan, will be released on PlayStation Vita on September 2. For PS Vita owners that have yet to pick up the first game, I would recommend doing so as soon as fiscally possible. That's one game all Vita owners will want in their collection.
