Sony's PlayStation Blog has been busy this morning. Little known JRPG Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is going to be localized for release in North America and Europe, following a similar announcement for Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice Delta. Soul Sacrifice Delta will be the first to be released on May 20 while the other two will be giving us bits and pieces of information over the next few months.
What we do know about Oreshika is that the Japanese title roughly translates to "Go forth over my dead body" and that you're in charge of a Japanese clan that has been afflicted with an ancient curse lowering life expectancy to a very short two years. The player takes their clan on a journey to lift the curse by enlisting the help of powerful gods along the way to make sure each successive generation of your clan is stronger than previous generations.
Information on Oreshika is at a premium. Sony Japan Studio clearly doesn't want to give us too many details just yet. They have promised that we'll learn more about this fantastic looking title later on as the localization process moves further along. For now though, we'll just have to settle for the brief bit of story we know so far, some screenshots, and this trailer.
