Titanfall: Expedition is expected to arrive this May, and this weekend at PAX East, Respawn Entertainment dropped some details on Titanfall's very first DLC. Looks like that Season Pass code so many of us grabbed at launch is finally going to see some use.
Next month, the Frontier will be expanding with three new maps: Runoff, Swamplands, and Wargames. As the story goes, IMC forces have retreated to a remote planet following their defeat at the hands of the Militia (campaign stuff), and they wind up discovering some old ruins and mysterious artifacts. During their efforts to recover, IMC pilots continue training with simulation pods, because the Militia are never that far behind.
In the wake of the Battle of Demeter, IMC Expeditionary Forces travel deep into Frontier space to recover from their recent defeat. On an uncharted world, the IMC begin construction of a new fleet operations base, using newly acquired water collection and filtration plants to support the new base. When drainage operations reveal ancient ruins and artifacts of an unknown origin in a nearby swamp, Spyglass activates an archaeological team to investigate the site. To maintain battle readiness at the new base, IMC Pilots use simulation pods to train for anticipated Militia raids, based on lessons learned in Angel City and IMC Airbase Sierra.
Expedition is just the first of three "content packs" Respawn is expecting to put out, and each carries an individual price of $9.99 for PC and Xbox LIVE. If you already grabbed the Season Pass for $25, then rest assured no further action is required on your part. Enjoy the small discount.
