Shinji Mikami's upcoming horror game The Evil Within gets a new trailer today, and it just goes to further show why we don't want to play this. Even though we actually want to. Hey, who doesn't want to meet a guy named Boxman?
The new trailer comes to us in advance of PAX East and offers a pretty healthy offering of scenes from the game; in quick flashes, mind you. Sebastian, a detective and Evil Within's protagonist, undergoes some wild hallucinations that mostly involve more monsters and death. When he's not stuck a messed-up alternate reality that gives Silent Hill a run for his money, he's in an abandoned asylum meeting nice people like Boxman.
Not much is known about this aptly-named baddy, but he likely enjoys long walks on the beach and romantic commedies -- whenever he isn't cutting people open, that is. The hooded fellow who pops up here and there is a reaccuring villain in the game.
The Evil Within will be released on August 26 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4.
