Nintendo let loose the Disney today, showcasing the upcoming release of Disney Magical World on 3DS via a fancy features trailer and the announcement of a special exclusive handheld. Starting April 11, the same day that Disney Magical World is released, prospective Nintendo 3DS purchasers can pick up an exclusive themed 3DS XL. Dazzled with gold and matte white Mickey-shaped bubbles, this design's cool without pushing too far into cute territory.
Currently there's no word on price or whether Disney Magical World will be bundled with the handheld, but we do know that it will be retailer exclusive. Unfortunately the only place to pick up this special "Mickey Edition" 3DS XL will be at Walmart. Hopefully there will be some online preorders for those who don't live near one of the giant, man-eating retail stores. Nothing is currently listed on their store-front, however.
In the mean time, for those not interested in a new 3DS XL, there's plenty of Disney Magical World gameplay to dig into. The latest features trailer showcases the variety of gameplay in the sim-style game. Gameplay including dressing up as a favorite Disney character, taking pictures with both the player's Mii and the actual in-game Disney character, mini-games like fishing, and an only fashioned fantasy adventuring mode. It's like an Animal Crossing gone theme park.
Disney Magical World will be released on April 11 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
