Several new Batman: Arkham Knight images have arisen, offering us a pretty good look at Bats, his car, and the new Arkham Knight villain. Honestly, what is Batman without the Batmobile? A nobody, that's what. Both hero and vehicle are looking rather sleek, at any rate, but the Arkham Knight might just steal the show from both.
Written by DC icon Geoff Johns, Arkham Knight was actually created exclusively for the Arkham Knight game, and will act as an antithesis to Batman. While their goals may seem similar, the villain's methods are far more extreme, leading to inevitable conflict with Gotham's Dark Knight. Heck, the guy uses firearms, and that alone is enough to piss off Batman.
He still looks pretty damn cool, though.
Even with the new guy in town, Arkham Knight will feature a cast of returning villains, from Penguin to Two-Face. Harley Quinn is back, too, though she's completely lost the harlequin motif by this point.
The Batmobile will actually have a bigger role in the upcoming game as well, which would explain why it's being showcased alongside the characters. In the Arkham Knight reveal trailer, the vehicle was center stage, even getting its own slomo sequence worthy of a Michael Bay film.
Batman: Arkham Knight is currently expected to comeout within 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out additional screenshots of the Dark and Arkham Knights below. Commissioner Gordon even makes an appearance with the Bat-Signal.
