The blue blur has recently gained a new world addition to break the sound barrier in. Joining the previously announced Yoshi's Island DLC, a lush, green version of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda will soon become part of Sonic Lost World. Owners of the Wii U edition of the title will be able to download the open-world zone beginning tomorrow, March 27. Unfortunately, neither Sega nor Nintendo have released any information hinting at a 3DS DLC release.
As part of their exclusive partnership with former gaming rival Sega, Nintendo has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will soon be speeding through the iconic Hyrule. The heroic hedgehog will meet up with Link on his loftwing, gorons, stalchildren and even cuccos on his quest to achieve his ultimate goal of collecting the most rupees. Well, the actual criteria for completing the stage has not yet been revealed, but we do know that players will be able to open treasure chests, explore a giant map consisting of a large field and a mini-dungeon and fight off small enemies with the legendary homing attack. Saving the best part for last, all of this is done in Link's famous green garb, which is a pretty stylish addition for the hedgehog if I might add.
Ready to explore the land of Hyrule, all for free? Players can pick up the Legend of Zelda Zone DLC for Sonic Lost World on the Nintendo Wii U beginning tomorrow. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing a 3DS release anytime soon, similar to the previously released Yoshi's Island DLC. Check out the video below for a first look at the expansive map and journey coming on March 27.
