Nintendo has announced their April line-up of Virtual Console releases for the Wii U and they should surprise a gamer or two. On top of the three releases announced during February's Nintendo Direct Event (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Metroid Fusion and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3) six more games will be available in April, for a total of nine. All of these titles will be coming to the Wii U, with only a singly title also coming to the 3DS.
No more than three games will be released each week in April, witch should give plenty of time to Wii U gamers hoping to wrap up a game in time for the next one's release. Err, that is unless everyone plans to play Advance Wars all month like I plan on doing. Here's Nintendo's full April Virtual Console release schedule:
- Advance Wars (Wii U, $7.99)
- Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Wii U, $7.99)
- Metroid Fusion (Wii U, $7.99)
- Super Mario Bros. 3 (Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, $4.99)
- F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (Wii U, $6.99)
- Golden Sun (Wii U, $7.99)
- Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (Wii U, $7.99)
Yus! Only a week until Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Metroid Fusion are available on the Wii U! Ah, the Wii U might just have the best April releases of any platform now. If only they had some big first party games to go along with it, or maybe even some third party titles... ah, I'm just being mean now. Let's all be excited for Nintendo finally embracing their Virtual Console instead of being withholding.
Starting April 3, Nintendo's Virtual Console revolution begins! Just look at all of these glorious Game Boy Advance titles that may have otherwise disappeared in time.
