Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain doesn't even have a release date yet, but the wait won't feel so long now that prologue Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has launched. Yes, Ground Zeroes, the topic of much light curiosity and controversy is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Bridging the gap between Peace Walker and Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes brings Big Boss back to consoles where he belongs.
Accompanying the launch announcement is, of course, a launch trailer featuring 100% more Keifer Sutherland than ever before. As a long-time Metal Gear Solid player I'll be the first to say that the new voice for Snake is insanely disorientating. It feels like there's another person in the room with Snake and yourself, and all you really want is to hear those gravelly, deep tones of David Hayter. It's not meant to be. At least some things don't change, Snake's "sneak suit" is as tight fitting as ever. Also, shiny from the rain.
Chico isn't going to wait forever, soldier. It's time to download Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on a platform of your choice, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 and save the day. Of course, Ground Zeroes can also be picked up at retail, but who wants to pay the extra price for a plastic box? Bring on the Phantom Pain, please.
