Players will soon be able to experience the full version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online, two years after the game's beta began. Ubisoft has announced that they will be releasing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms, the renamed and upgraded version of the previously mentioned online installment into the Ghost Recon series. Phantoms provides various updated features that will be available to players starting April 10 on PC.
Ghost Recon Phantoms, similar to Online, gives players the option of engaging in multiplayer team-based combat of up to 16 players. Phantoms, however, will introduce players to many new features, such as updated characters, maps maps and an increased volume of community features. Matchmaking has now been tweaked to provide a fair experience for all soldiers, new and old. Phantoms also brings a weapon customization system to the table under the control of the "Mod Master", who serves to twist the traditional tactical warfare elements that the Ghost Recon series is know for.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms invites players to work alongside the classic Ghosts unit and the new Phantoms unit starting on April 10. Interested players looking to check the title out or long-time series fans can download the game for free on PC.
