Players all over the world will soon be able to grow lush gardens in three dimensions with Mama. Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends, a spin-off of the popular Cooking Mama series, has recently been announced exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. Majesco Games confirmed today that North American 3DS owners will be able to sustain their woodland communities -- with the veggies, of course -- in April of 2014. Unfortunately, there is no word of release outside of North America just yet.
What is Mama's ultimate goal this time around? To grow grandiose greens to give to the local creatures! Mama's here to help out her forest friends, of course. Using the stylus, players can solve many touchscreen based challenges, such as planting and caring for seeds and plants. Gardens can be customized through trade of points or SpotPass connectivity.
Sadly, this new installation into the Mama series probably won't win any prizes for innovation. At this point, Gardening Mama 2: Forest Friends looks to be an updated rehash of the original Gardening Mama. Don't give up on it just yet though. Forest Friends will be available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS in North America starting next month.
