If you've secretly been craving pain from your iPhone ever since Flappy Bird flew away, it's time you discovered what it means to get Shin Megami Tensei'ed. Imagine you and your merry band of demons having a nice dungeon stroll where everything is going so well... and then one of you gets charmed by the enemy, turning against your whole party and wiping everyone.
That's right, Atlus is finally going to localize the very first Shin Megami Tensei title for iOS devices. First released on the SNES way back in 1992, SMT never saw an official English release though fan translations would eventually be made available for anyone familiar with the emulation scene. The iOS version will based on the 2003 GBA remake which similarly never got localized.
Available this March 18th, the iOS release also marks the first time the SMT series goes mobile on our shores (previous SMT titles on the App Store were straight ports of the original Japanese releases, distributed by Index Corporation). Based on Atlus' announcement, it refreshingly doesn't look like the iOS version has been dumbed down for mobile. Heck it even keeps the Moon Phases.
