Redbeard is gathering his Viking clan for a new mission, a mission exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U. Today Ronimo Games announced Swords and Soldiers II, sequel to the quirky 2D strategy title. Summon your clan warrior by warrior by tap, tap, tapping on the Wii U GamePad (we can assume). Seems like a match made in heaven.
Beyond a very short press release, all that Romino provided to announce their new game was a very brief and very uninformative teaser trailer. We see the same style of cartoonish visual that Romino does so well, as well as the band of Vikings we know so well from the original game. I think it's safe to assume that Swords and Soldiers II won't stray too far from the gameplay we already know. If they did, they'd want to lead with that in their advertising, right?
More information on Swords and Soldiers II will be made available at GDC and PAX East, or so Romino Games says. I've got a feeling that this one, if even exclusive at all, won't stay exclusive to the Wii U for particularly long. After all, it found a majority of its success on mobile and PC. Hard to just leave that audience behind, isn't it?
