The days of a combo that feels lacking in Super Smash Bros. are over. Director Masahiro Sakurai announced alongside today's daily picture that every character will be getting the combo finisher treatment and not just a select few characters (I'm looking at you, Mario).
As demonstrated in the picture above, Fox is using his new finishing kick on Samus. Either her armor is weaker than it looks or she must have already been pretty banged up, because that kick looks like it hurt quite a bit. Of course, it could also be that Fox is getting some attention from Sakurai after many gamers considered him average in Brawl through many different iterations of various tier lists across the Internet. Fox usually ranked several places lower than Diddy Kong, who's coming back for some more action after being revealed late last week.
So far, we've heard of newcomers Little Mac and Rosalina, while some familiar faces like Lucario and Sonic have returned for an encore in Nintendo's fast paced, wildly enjoyable all-star fighting franchise. There's no information on a release date yet, but new photos and information continue to trickle out daily from Namco Bandai courtesy of Sakurai. This is turning out to be a rather smashing game, one that just may be able to reverse the Wii U's troubles unless the 3DS version proves to be too strong a competitor.
